Last updated

Connect SharePoint to Raysly from Integrations. Raysly copies backup files into a SharePoint document library you choose. It does not read the rest of your Microsoft 365 files.

This guide says exactly what the SharePoint connection does today. Raysly does not read more than the connection asks for.

Connect SharePoint to Raysly in four steps: open the SharePoint tile, approve SharePoint, check the connection, and see what the connection does.

Before you start

  • Sign in to Raysly as the account owner or an admin. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect an integration.
  • Have the SharePoint account that should be linked to Raysly.

Connect

  1. Open the SharePoint tile. In Raysly open Settings → Integrations. Find the SharePoint tile with the search box or the File storage filter, and click Connect on the tile. A details panel opens. Click Connect in the panel to go to SharePoint.
  2. Approve SharePoint. Sign in with a work or school Microsoft 365 account and approve access to the sites and files Raysly needs. Your admin may have to approve the app.
  3. Check the connection. Raysly brings you back to Integrations and shows a green confirmation banner. The tile now says Connected, and the details panel shows which account it is connected as. The tile shows SharePoint as connected. Pick the document library in the panel.
  4. Know what the connection does. Raysly copies backup files into a SharePoint document library you choose. It does not read the rest of your Microsoft 365 files.

Disconnect

In Settings → Integrations open the SharePoint tile and click Disconnect, then confirm. Raysly marks the connection as revoked and stops using it. Files already copied to SharePoint stay there.

Raysly's authorisation can stay listed at SharePoint after you disconnect. To remove it there as well, remove Raysly in the Microsoft 365 enterprise applications list.
