Connect Google Calendar to Raysly and see your Google events next to your order milestones on one Calendar page. You can also create an event from Raysly and it is written straight to your Google Calendar.
Before you start
- You need a Raysly account. If you do not have one yet, create a Raysly account first.
- Sign in to Raysly as the account owner or an admin. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect an integration.
- Have the Google account whose calendar you want to use. Raysly links one Google account for the whole Raysly account.
- To create events from Raysly, the calendar must be one you can write to.
Connect
- Open the Google Calendar tile. In Raysly open Settings → Integrations. Find the Google Calendar tile with the search box or the Calendar filter, and click Connect on the tile. A details panel opens. Click Connect in the panel to go to Google.
- Approve Raysly in Google. Sign in with the Google account to use and approve. Raysly asks Google for permission to manage events on your calendars and to read your list of calendars.
- Check the connection. Raysly brings you back to Integrations and shows a green confirmation banner. The tile now says Connected, and the details panel shows which account it is connected as.
- Open the Calendar page. Click Calendar in the Raysly menu. A list of your Google calendars appears beside the week. Tick the calendars to show; their events appear on the week grid next to your order milestones.
- Create an event (optional). Click New event, pick a calendar, enter a title and the time, and save. Raysly writes the event straight to your Google Calendar and keeps no copy of its own.
What Raysly reads and writes
- Reads: your list of calendars and the events on the calendars you tick, for the week you are viewing.
- Writes: only the events you create with New event. Raysly does not copy orders or customer details into Google on its own.
Disconnect
In Settings → Integrations open the Google tile and click Disconnect, then confirm. Raysly marks the connection as revoked and stops using it. The Calendar page stops showing Google events and New event disappears. Events already in Google stay there.
Raysly's authorisation can stay listed at Google after you disconnect. To remove it there as well, remove Raysly under third-party access in your Google account.
Frequently asked questions
Can each team member connect their own Google calendar?
No. Raysly links one Google account for the whole Raysly account, and the Calendar page shows events from the calendars of that account that you tick.
Why can I not create an event?
The New event button only appears when Google Calendar is connected, and you can only add events to calendars you can write to. A calendar shared with you as read-only does not accept new events.
Do my order appointments appear in Google automatically?
No. Raysly shows your Google events in Raysly, and writes to Google only when you use New event.
Who can connect or disconnect?
Only the account owner and admins. Other team members can use what is connected but cannot change it.
The connection to Google did not finish. What now?
Raysly shows a red notice at the top of Integrations that starts with "We couldn't complete the connection" and gives a short reason. Click Dismiss and click Connect again. Nothing is connected until you approve the request at Google. Still stuck? Email support@raysly.com and tell us the platform, what you clicked and what you saw.
