Install Raysly on PrestaShop

Install the Raysly module in PrestaShop, connect it to your Raysly account in one click and add the Get instant offer form to your shop.

Last updated

The Raysly module adds the instant-offer form to your PrestaShop shop and can send opted-in checkout customers to your Raysly lead pipeline. Your products, checkout and invoices stay in PrestaShop.

This connector is in beta. Raysly keeps issuing offers and invoices as it does today; invoicing pass-through stays off while the connector is in beta.

Diagram of the steps to install Raysly on PrestaShop, from signing in to Raysly to a finished connection.

Before you start

  • You need a Raysly account. If you do not have one yet, create a Raysly account first.
  • PrestaShop 8.0 or newer, including 9.x, with the PHP version PrestaShop runs on. The PHP extensions curl, openssl, mbstring and json must be available.
  • Your whole shop must be served over HTTPS on the default port, with SSL enabled for the whole shop (Shop Parameters โ†’ General). One-click connect refuses otherwise.
  • The shop server must be able to reach Raysly over HTTPS, and the var/ folder must be writable (the module keeps its sealing secret in var/raysly/).

Install and connect

  1. Get the module package. Raysly supplies the package as a ZIP file. Request the current version from Raysly support at support@raysly.com.
  2. Upload and install the module. In the PrestaShop back office open Module Manager, choose Upload a module, pick the Raysly ZIP and click Install.
  3. Open the Raysly screen. Click Configure. This opens the Raysly screen of the module.
  4. Click Connect to Raysly. Click Connect to Raysly and confirm the shop in Raysly (you can sign in or sign up on the way). You land back on the screen showing Connected to your Raysly account, the tenant ID, the masked key and the widget host.
  5. Add your shop to the widget list. In Raysly add the shop address to the list under Settings โ†’ Website widget, so the form may load there.
  6. Choose which checkout customers become leads (optional). Under Checkout leads tick the lawful-basis confirmation and Send opted-in checkout leads. Until both are ticked nothing is sent.
  7. Link your products (optional). On the Raysly screen, the Products card has Sync my products to Raysly. Click it so Raysly can read your products for offers. See the user guide for exactly what it shares.

What the connection can and cannot do

When you connect, Raysly creates an API key for this shop that can only create leads (permission leads:write) and sends it securely to the plugin or module. The key cannot read or change your products, prices, orders, customers or settings. No key travels in a URL, and you never copy or paste one. Disconnecting in the shop revokes the key in Raysly.

Connect manually (advanced)

Under Connect manually (advanced) paste the tenant ID, the widget host and a key with the leads:write permission from Settings โ†’ API keys. The key field is write-only; leave it empty to keep the stored key.

If you remove the module

  • Disconnect and uninstall revoke a key made by one-click connect, then delete the key, the settings, the lead table, the hidden Raysly screen and the secret file.
  • A key you pasted by hand is not revoked from the shop: revoke it under Settings โ†’ API keys.
  • If the PrestaShop Webservice was switched on for product linking, it is switched off again when you disconnect or uninstall.

Languages and older versions

The module speaks English, German, French, Italian and Greek, following the back-office language and the visitor's language in the shop. PrestaShop 1.7 is not supported.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Raysly account first?

Yes. Raysly connects a shop to your Raysly account, so you create the account first and then connect the shop. Create a Raysly account if you do not have one.

The confirmation page expired. What now?

The request is valid for 15 minutes from when you clicked Connect to Raysly. Go back to the Raysly settings screen in your shop admin and click Connect to Raysly again.

Connect to Raysly says one-click connect is not available. What now?

The screen says so when one-click connect is switched off for your account. The manual fields keep working: under Connect manually (advanced) paste your tenant ID and widget host from Settings โ†’ Website widget, and a key with the leads:write permission from Settings โ†’ API keys.

One-click connect refuses my shop. Why?

One-click connect needs the whole shop on HTTPS, on the default port, with SSL enabled for the whole shop. Fix that under Shop Parameters โ†’ General and try again, or use Connect manually (advanced).

How many shops can I connect?

Raysly limits the number of connected shops per account. The limit and your connected shops are shown on the Shop plugins & modules card in Settings โ†’ Integrations.
