Using Raysly with Shopify
What Raysly does once your Shopify store is connected: product sync, the Raysly offer app block, the Get instant offer page, leads, privacy and disconnecting.
Last updated
This guide is for installers who have already connected a Shopify store to Raysly. If you have not, start with Install Raysly on Shopify.
The "Get instant offer" form gives your visitors a tailored solar offer in minutes, and every enquiry lands in your Raysly lead pipeline, ready to follow up.
What Raysly does for your store
- Catalogue sync: Raysly reads your products, variants, prices, images and stock (read only) and keeps them up to date through webhooks, so offers use your prices.
- Instant-offer form: the "Raysly offer" app block puts the form on any page you choose, and Raysly can create a dedicated "Get instant offer" page.
- Leads: what a visitor enters in the form lands in your Raysly pipeline (Leads).
What stays on Shopify
Your products, checkout and invoicing stay on Shopify. Raysly never changes, takes over or invoices your Shopify orders, and order mirroring is not available yet.
Manage the connection
Open Settings → Integrations and find the Shopify card. Owners and admins can see the connection status, run a sync and change what Raysly does for the store.
- Catalogue sync is on by default. When off, Raysly stops scheduled and webhook syncs; "Sync now" still works.
- Invoicing stays on your shop (opt-in) is off by default. Switch it on only if Shopify is your system of record for these sales: Raysly then issues no orders, invoices or payments for accepted offers, and you invoice on Shopify yourself.
- If the card shows that you need to reconnect, click Connect with Shopify again to re-authorise the same connection.
Place the form in your theme
In the Shopify theme editor add the app block Raysly offer. In the block settings enter the Raysly host and your Tenant ID (both under Settings → Website widget). Optional settings: a two-letter language code (empty follows the visitor), the look of the form (match my theme, the look saved in my Raysly account, or the Raysly look) and whether to show the Raysly cookie notice. The form only loads if your store address is on the widget list.
Change how the form looks
Open Settings → Website widget in Raysly and find the card called Look of the form. Changes apply to your Shopify site without reinstalling anything.
- Look of the form: "Match my website" (the form takes your site font and accent colour), "My Raysly look" (the theme saved in Sites → Branding) or "Raysly look".
- Show the Raysly cookie notice: turn this off if your website already asks visitors for cookie consent. The form then collects no consent, so Raysly analytics stay off.
- "Get instant offer" page: a dedicated page with only the offer form. Shopify stores get it automatically; switch it off here if you do not want it.
- Show it in the main menu: off by default. Switch it on to add a link to your main menu, and change the link text (empty means "Get instant offer").
Privacy and consent
- The widget is a Raysly form shown on your pages. It collects what a visitor chooses to enter to get an offer (such as contact and property details) and the address of the page it is on.
- You own the consent notices: list the Raysly widget in your cookie banner and privacy policy.
- If your store already asks visitors for cookie consent, turn the Raysly cookie notice off in the app block. The form then collects no consent, so Raysly analytics stay off.
- Raysly handles the privacy requests Shopify sends to every app (customer data request, customer redact and shop redact).
- Leads are stored in your own Raysly account for your team. You are the data controller; Raysly processes them on your behalf under its data processing agreement.
Disconnect or remove Raysly
- To disconnect from Raysly, use Disconnect on the Shopify card. Raysly removes its webhooks first. Imported products stay unless you tick "Also permanently remove all synced products".
- To remove the app from Shopify, uninstall it in your Shopify admin. Raysly then marks the connection revoked and stops syncing.
Frequently asked questions
I changed a product in Shopify. When does Raysly see it?
