Install Raysly on OpenCart

The Raysly extension adds the instant-offer form to your OpenCart shop and can send opted-in checkout customers to your Raysly lead pipeline. Your products, checkout and invoices stay in OpenCart.

This connector is in beta. Raysly keeps issuing offers and invoices as it does today; invoicing pass-through stays off while the connector is in beta.

Before you start

• You need a Raysly account. If you do not have one yet, create a Raysly account first.
• OpenCart 4.0.2.0 or later (4.0.x), with PHP 8.0 or newer and the curl and openssl extensions.
• Your shop must be served over HTTPS on the default port.
• The storage/ folder must be writable by PHP (the extension keeps a random secret file in storage/raysly/).

Install and connect

1. Get the extension package. Raysly supplies the package as a ZIP file. Request the current version from Raysly support at support@raysly.com.
2. Upload the package. In the OpenCart admin open Extensions → Installer, upload the Raysly .ocmod.zip and click Install.
3. Install the module. Open Extensions → Extensions, choose Modules, find Raysly, click Install (the green plus), then Edit (the blue pencil). Installing creates the raysly_lead table and registers the extension's events (see Extensions → Events, codes starting with raysly_).
4. Click Connect to Raysly. On the Raysly settings page click Connect to Raysly, confirm the shop in Raysly (you can sign in or sign up on the way) and you land back on the page showing Connected to your Raysly account.
5. Add your shop to the widget list. In Raysly add the shop address to the list under Settings → Website widget, so the form may load there.
6. Add the module to a layout (optional). To show the form in any other position, add the Raysly module to a layout under Design → Layouts.
7. Choose which checkout customers become leads (optional). Tick Lawful basis, then Send opted-in checkout customers to my Raysly account as leads. Until both are ticked nothing is sent.
8. Link your products (optional). The Products card has Sync my products to Raysly. See the user guide for exactly what it shares.

What the connection can and cannot do

When you connect, Raysly creates an API key for this shop that can only create leads (permission leads:write) and sends it securely to the plugin or module. The key cannot read or change your products, prices, orders, customers or settings. No key travels in a URL, and you never copy or paste one. Disconnecting in the shop revokes the key in Raysly.

Connect manually (advanced)

On the settings page use the manual option to paste the tenant ID, the widget host (Settings → Website widget) and a key with the leads:write permission (Settings → API keys). The key field is write-only.

If you remove the extension

• Open Extensions → Modules → Raysly and click Uninstall first. This revokes the key in Raysly and removes the events, the table, the settings and the secret file.
• Then open Extensions → Installer and uninstall the package to delete the files.
• A key you pasted by hand is not revoked from the shop: revoke it under Settings → API keys.

The extension speaks English, German, French, Italian and Greek (en-gb, de-de, fr-fr, it-it, el-gr).
