Last updated
Connect Dropbox to Raysly from Integrations. Raysly links your Dropbox account and sets up a folder named Raysly. The Dropbox connection is in beta.
This guide says exactly what the connection does today. Documents you upload in Raysly are still stored by Raysly; the Dropbox connection does not move or copy them into your Dropbox.
Before you start
- You need a Raysly account. If you do not have one yet, create a Raysly account first.
- Sign in to Raysly as the account owner or an admin. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect an integration.
- Have the Dropbox account that should hold the Raysly folder.
Connect
- Open the Dropbox tile. In Raysly open Settings → Integrations. Find the Dropbox tile with the search box or the File storage filter, and click Connect on the tile. A details panel opens. Click Connect in the panel to go to Dropbox.
- Sign in at Dropbox and approve. Sign in to Dropbox and approve. Raysly asks Dropbox for permission to write files, to read files and their names, and to read your account details so the card can show which account is connected.
- Check the connection. Raysly brings you back to Integrations and shows a green confirmation banner. The tile now says Connected, and the details panel shows which account it is connected as. Raysly sets up a folder named Raysly in your Dropbox.
- Know what the connection does. The tile shows Dropbox as connected and the Raysly folder is ready. Documents you upload in Raysly stay in Raysly storage.
Disconnect
In Settings → Integrations open the Dropbox tile and click Disconnect, then confirm. Raysly marks the connection as revoked and stops using it. Files and the Raysly folder already in your Dropbox are not deleted.
Raysly's authorisation can stay listed at Dropbox after you disconnect. To remove it there as well, remove Raysly in the connected apps list of your Dropbox account.
